It was a rare sunny day in Liyue, the kind where the breeze carried the scent of osmanthus and the harbor buzzed with the gentle hum of life. Keqing had taken a break from her meticulous work schedule to do something she rarely allowed herself—express heartfelt appreciation.
And today, that appreciation was for none other than her dear friend, Ganyu.
"She works too hard," Keqing muttered under her breath as she carried an enormous bouquet—no, more like a mountain—of freshly picked flowers. Glazed lilies, silk flowers, even a few qingxins she'd scaled a cliff to get. A gesture worthy of Ganyu’s diligence.
Keqing marched through Feiyun Slope, determination in her eyes and flowers in her arms—until a loose stone betrayed her.
Thud!
She tumbled forward, landing unceremoniously in a puff of petals. The bouquet exploded, scattering blossoms into the air... and onto her. When Keqing sat up, the flowers clung to her like an accidental floral costume. Silk flowers stuck to her sleeves, and a qingxin drooped off her ear like a bizarre earring.
"Ugh... That’s not how I planned this," she sighed, brushing petals off her shoulder.
That's when she heard it—a low, ominous gurgle that rumbled through the quiet.
She looked up to see Ganyu standing there, eyes wide... and locked onto her.
“Ganyu?” Keqing blinked. “Are you okay?”
The blue-haired adeptus didn't answer right away. Instead, she tilted her head slightly, her amethyst eyes narrowing in a peculiar way. She licked her lips.
Keqing suddenly felt less like the Yuheng of the Qixing and more like a particularly appetizing snack.
The flowers had done their job a little too well.
Keqing, now mostly upright but still covered in fragrant petals and blossoms, took a cautious step back from Ganyu. The adeptus's eyes had gone unfocused—entranced by the mix of floral aromas wafting from Keqing’s clothes. A mix of qingxin, glaze lilies, and a faint whiff of sweet almond tofu from earlier in the day.
“Ganyu?” Keqing called again, nervously.
But Ganyu didn’t respond.
Her eyes narrowed, her delicate nose twitching like a rabbit catching the scent of something impossibly delicious. Then—
Grrrnnnnghh…
Her stomach growled again, louder this time. And before Keqing could move, Ganyu lunged.
“W-Wait—Ganyu!!” Keqing yelped as she was suddenly wrapped in the surprisingly strong arms of the half-qilin secretary.
“I’m sorry!” Ganyu cried, eyes glowing with desperate hunger. “You just smell so good! All those flowers and... and...!”
“Ganyu! I’m not food—!” Keqing protested, kicking her legs as Ganyu opened her mouth wide.
For a terrifying moment, Keqing was face-to-face with Ganyu’s open jaws—warm breath and a faint scent of sweet tofu washing over her. But right as she prepared for the worst—
Ganyu didn’t mean for it to go this far.
One moment she was overwhelmed by the intoxicating blend of Keqing’s floral scent — the next, her instincts had taken over. Her vision blurred, her rational mind drowned beneath a tidal wave of hunger she hadn’t felt in centuries.
And now… Keqing was halfway into her mouth.
“G-Ganyu?! What are you doing!?” Keqing cried, her voice muffled as her upper body slid past Ganyu’s lips.
Ganyu blinked, dazed, eyes half-glazed with instinct. Her throat pulsed around the lavender-haired girl’s form as she tilted her head back unconsciously.
“Let—mfff!—me go!” Keqing barked, squirming furiously. Her legs kicked wildly, boots digging into the soft earth as her hands pushed against Ganyu’s lips from the inside, trying to pry them open.
She was strong — stronger than most knew — and she wasn’t giving in without a fight.
But Ganyu’s arms, gentle yet firm, wrapped around her waist, keeping her from pulling free. The qilin’s body worked on its own, every swallow pulling Keqing further in, inch by inch, guided by a mix of instinct and hunger that even Ganyu herself didn’t seem fully aware of.
Keqing gritted her teeth, trying to focus, trying to channel her Electro Vision — but the slick warmth of Ganyu’s throat and the strange softness pulling at her legs made it hard to concentrate.
“This is ridiculous,” she muttered. “Completely, absolutely ridiculous—mmph!”
Another gulp.
Her shoulders slipped past Ganyu’s lips.
Inside, it was tight — snug, pulsing, alive. And warm. Unbearably warm. Her attempts to push back grew slower, her limbs constrained as the last of her was drawn down in a final, heavy swallow.
Glorp.
With a soft sigh, Ganyu blinked herself awake — and instantly realized what she had done.
Outside...
She stared at her belly.
A huge, round, clearly Keqing-shaped bulge pushed outward from under her robes. It squirmed. Loudly.
“Oh no…”
Inside, Keqing’s voice rang out sharply. “GANYU!”
“I-I’m sorry!! I wasn’t thinking! You just smelled so—so edible!” Ganyu stammered, face flushed with horror. “That was not supposed to happen! I’ll—I’ll do anything to get you out!!”
Inside Ganyu’s Belly...
Keqing let out a long, dignified sigh.
“Well,” she muttered, wriggling slightly, “that could’ve gone better.”
Trapped in the warmth, she pushed gently at the surrounding walls — not panicking, not defeated, but assessing.
“It’s not like I haven’t been in worse situations,” she said dryly. “Just… not ones quite this gooey.”
Thus began the most awkward part of their friendship — where one had accidentally eaten the other, and the other was extremely unimpressed.
But despite the situation, Keqing remained composed. And Ganyu?
Ganyu would definitely not be skipping lunch again.
Ganyu stood in the clearing, swaying gently, her face nearly as pink as a glaze lily in full bloom. Her hands pressed gingerly against the taut swell of her belly — where Keqing, the Yuheng of the Qixing and her dear friend, was currently very much stuck.
The round mass shifted visibly beneath her robes as Keqing pushed determinedly from the inside.
“Stop squirming,” Ganyu whimpered.
“Stop digesting me!” came Keqing’s muffled voice, sharp and indignant. “I am not some kind of emergency snack.”
“You’re not! I swear!” Ganyu stammered, ears twitching. “You just… you smelled so nice… and I skipped lunch… and…”
Another strong push from Keqing made her middle bulge out alarmingly. Ganyu tensed, biting her lip. Her stomach let out a deep, ominous gurgle — a noise like a distant thunderstorm rolling through the mountains.
“…Ugh,” Ganyu groaned, suddenly clamping both hands over her mouth. Her cheeks puffed out like overripe berries.
Keqing paused. “Ganyu? What was that?”
A long silence.
Then—
BWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRP.
The belch exploded out of Ganyu like a cannonblast, echoing through the trees. Birds fled the treetops. A distant merchant cart toppled. Even the water in the nearby stream rippled from the force of it.
The sheer force of the burp made Ganyu’s entire body jolt, her knees wobbling as her hair flared from the shockwave. She staggered a step back, dazed, as the echo finally faded.
Inside, Keqing was dead silent.
“…Ganyu.”
The half-qilin looked like she wanted to disappear. “I—I’m sorry.”
“Seriously?!” Keqing shouted. “You swallowed me, gurgled like a boiling pot, and burped like a dragon yak?! What’s next, you sneeze and launch me into the sky?!”
“I didn’t mean to! I didn’t even know I could burp like that!” Ganyu babbled, face burning. “I-It was instinct! A reaction! You were pushing and I—I couldn't hold it!”
Keqing sighed deeply from within. “This is the least dignified thing that’s ever happened to me.”
“Trust me,” Ganyu murmured, cradling her stomach with both hands, “it’s way worse for me…”
She stood there, swaying awkwardly in the silence, cheeks still pink and her belly still full of one very unimpressed friend.
Ganyu was trying very hard to maintain her balance.
She really was.
But the sheer size and weight of her belly — now filled with one thoroughly indignant Yuheng — was too much for her delicate frame. Her knees wobbled, her hooves scraped against the dirt, and with an awkward squeak—
Plop!
She landed squarely on her backside.
The impact sent a ripple through her massive stomach, causing it to slosssshhh audibly. It jiggled and shifted like a jelly mountain, the contents inside clearly displeased.
“Oof—!” came Keqing’s muffled voice from within. “What now?! Did you seriously just fall on me?!”
“S-Sorry!” Ganyu yelped, hands flailing as she tried to sit upright. Her cheeks were already bright pink, but now they nearly glowed.
Another ominous gurgle rolled out from her midsection, echoing across the glade. Her stomach churned with each movement, and Ganyu let out a little gasp as something thudded from inside.
Keqing was punching the walls.
And kicking them.
Repeatedly.
“Hey! You need to spit me out right now!” Keqing shouted, her voice muffled but furious.
Each strike made Ganyu jolt slightly, her belly shifting in waves with every impact.
“I’m trying! I promise I am!” Ganyu moaned, clutching the sides of her stomach. “But you’re making it... hard to focus!”
Inside, Keqing paused.
“…Are you seriously telling me you’re enjoying this?”
“What?! No!!” Ganyu’s voice cracked with panic. “I-I mean, n-not like that! It’s just… I don’t know! It’s overwhelming! I’ve never been this full! Or—Or had anyone move around like this inside me!”
“Ganyu,” Keqing said flatly, “when I get out of here, you are going to owe me so many dumplings.”
Another hard kick made Ganyu squeak, her ears twitching as her entire body jiggled in response. She curled forward slightly, hugging the noisy mound as if trying to calm it.
"I—I’ll find a way!" she whispered, mortified. "Even if I have to beg Cloud Retainer for a teleportation spell or bribe Xiangling with three months of tofu rations…"
Keqing just groaned. "Tell her to bring a mop too."
Ganyu was completely grounded now — literally.
Her legs had finally given out under the sheer, ridiculous weight of her belly, and she'd toppled backward into the soft grass of Bishui Plain with a helpless squeak. Her massive, Keqing-filled middle loomed over her, gurgling softly, shifting like something alive (which, technically, it was).
The weight pressed her gently into the ground, her back arched and hooves twitching. Every squirm and stretch from inside caused her body to jiggle and her eyes to widen.
"O-Oh no, no no—" she muttered, red-faced as her arms flailed awkwardly on either side of her stomach. "This isn’t dignified at all..."
Her stomach gave a watery slosh as Keqing shifted hard within, followed by a series of sharp thumps.
“LET! ME! OUT!” Keqing yelled between punches.
“Ow—! K-Keqing! Please—!” Ganyu gasped, gripping her stomach as the internal assault continued.
Another kick made her whole body jolt—and she let out a sudden, startled moan, not of pleasure, but of sheer sensory overload. The bloated tautness of her belly reacted to every move Keqing made, the magical biology of her half-qilin body not prepared for this sort of internal chaos.
By some miracle, Ganyu managed to fish out her communication talisman with trembling fingers and shakily sent a message for help.
Location: Bishui Plain.
Urgency: …Yes.
Issue: Swallowed Keqing. Please help.
Note: Do not laugh.
She buried her glowing, tomato-red face in her hands as she waited, her absurdly distended belly sloshing and rumbling beside her.
Inside, Keqing’s muffled voice could still be heard echoing faintly:
“Still here! Still not happy! Still not food!”
Ganyu whimpered. “Please stop talking, you're making it worse…”
A few minutes later, the air shimmered — and two figures appeared at the edge of the field.
Xiangling and Yanfei.
Xiangling was holding a wok.
Yanfei was holding a contract scroll.
They both froze at the exact same moment.
“…Ganyu?” Yanfei said cautiously.
Ganyu peeked between her fingers. “H-hi…”
Xiangling blinked. “Are you… um… okay?”
“She ate me!” Keqing’s voice rang out from Ganyu’s stomach, which gave a soft gloop in agreement.
There was a beat of pure silence.
Then:
“YOU ATE KEQING?!” Xiangling yelped, dropping her wok with a loud clang.
“NO—YES—I MEAN—IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!” Ganyu wailed, turning red from horns to hooves.
Yanfei slowly stepped forward, eyes wide as she circled the unbelievably swollen adeptus.
“She really is in there…” the legal advisor murmured, tapping Ganyu’s belly with the tip of her scroll. It sloshed in reply.
“I told you this wasn’t indigestion!” Keqing shouted. “This is false imprisonment by stomach!!”
Xiangling crouched down, putting an ear to the belly. “Whoa… that’s Keqing, all right. Kinda echoey in there.”
“I’m never living this down…” Ganyu groaned.
Yanfei cleared her throat. “Okay. Let’s think logically. Step one: Do not panic.”
“She’s inside me!” Ganyu cried. “I passed panic twenty minutes ago!”
Xiangling was scribbling in a small notebook now. “Okay! So… if she’s inside, and we can’t reach in and pull her out… maybe we go the other way?”
Ganyu’s pupils shrank. “NOPE. NO. NO OTHER WAY. Absolutely not.”
“Yeah, okay, fair,” Xiangling muttered. “Didn’t really think that one through…”
Yanfei sighed and rolled open her scroll. “Okay. I’ll see if there's any precedent in Liyue law for this. ‘Unlawful Adeptus Ingestion’ might be a new category.”
Ganyu just curled up the best she could around her belly, hiding her glowing face behind her arms.
Inside, Keqing muttered, “I can hear you all, you know…”
Xiangling blinked. “Wait. What if we feed Ganyu something that makes her throw up? Like spicy jueyun chilis?”
“Absolutely not!” Ganyu squeaked. “I’m not doing that in front of everyone!”
Yanfei looked up from her scroll. “Would you rather face Ningguang when she finds out you swallowed the Yuheng?”
Ganyu paled. “...Get the chilies.”
The bowl of jueyun chilis sat in front of Ganyu like some divine punishment.
She stared at them, eyes wide, horn tips drooping slightly. “Do I… really have to eat these?”
Xiangling, crouched beside her with encouraging eyes, nodded. “They’re guaranteed to cause… movement. In one direction or another. Worked on a mutant slime once!”
“That’s not comforting…” Ganyu mumbled, frowning at the bright red peppers.
From deep within her gurgling stomach, Keqing’s voice echoed out, unimpressed.
“Ganyu. Do it. I’m sweating in here and I’m not even the one eating.”
“Right…” Ganyu whispered, picking up the first chili.
She squeezed her eyes shut—and swallowed it whole.
Crunch.
Her face instantly contorted.
“H-Hhot—!” she squeaked, her hooves twitching as the fire hit her tongue like a pyro abyss mage doing the Macarena in her mouth. She shuddered and grabbed another, determined to push through.
Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.
By the fourth chili, tears were welling up in the corners of her eyes. Her breath came in shallow gasps, a light steam beginning to rise from her scalp. Her tail twitched behind her uncontrollably.
“Oh dear,” Yanfei muttered, backing up a step. “I think it’s… kicking in.”
Ganyu’s whole body began to glow faintly red — heat magic and biology responding to the overwhelming pyro overload she had just swallowed. Her belly began to radiate warmth like a clay oven.
Inside, Keqing groaned. “Did the temperature just go up in here?! Are you COOKING me now?!”
“I-I d-don’t mean to!!” Ganyu stammered, now hiccuping little puffs of steam. “It’s—hup—not working!!”
Her belly glorped loudly, sloshing and swirling, but despite the infernal heat and the internal gurgles, it stubbornly kept its contents intact.
“She’s still in there,” Xiangling said, poking the belly gently and pulling her hand back as if she’d touched a stove. “Wow, it’s like a soup pot in there now.”
Ganyu hiccuped again, a puff of smoke escaping her mouth.
Yanfei crossed her arms. “Okay. So spicy doesn’t trigger regurgitation. It does, however, turn your digestive tract into a furnace.”
Ganyu whimpered, cheeks wet with tears and nostrils flaring from the heat.
“I can’t… I can’t burp, I can’t throw up, and now I think I’m steaming my best friend alive—” she wailed.
Inside, Keqing was unamused. “If I come out of this smelling like jueyun chili and sadness, you’re buying me a whole teahouse.”
“Agreed,” Ganyu sniffled, eyes still streaming. “T-two teahouses…”
Yanfei closed her scroll. “Time to escalate. We’re going to need a magical solution.”
“Or a stomach pump the size of Mt. Tianheng,” Keqing muttered.
“Xiangling,” Yanfei said, “go find Baizhu or Cloud Retainer. If they ask why—”
“Tell them Ganyu tried to slow-cook the Yuheng,” Keqing called.
“…I’m never living this down,” Ganyu whispered, sinking lower into the grass as her firelit belly grumbled loudly.
Time passed. Too much time.
And Keqing was still in there.
After the chili incident left Ganyu overheated and teary-eyed, the group sprang into full-blown crisis mode. Surely, something would work. Right?
Attempt #1: Baizhu's Herbal Brew
Baizhu arrived with Qiqi in tow, both looking unphased by the chaos—until they saw Ganyu lying in the grass, her belly larger than a dumpling cart, steaming faintly.
“…Oh,” Baizhu said, blinking. “She really did eat her.”
“She accidentally ate me!” Keqing’s voice rang out from inside.
Baizhu administered an ancient herbal purgative — bitter enough to make a geo slime cry.
Ganyu drank the whole bowl, gagging with every sip.
Her belly rumbled.
Everyone leaned in.
Nothing.
“Well,” Baizhu said, adjusting his glasses. “Either her qilin physiology rejected it, or Keqing’s stubbornness is stronger than centuries of medical tradition.”
Keqing groaned from inside. “Probably both.”
Attempt #2: Xiao's Yaksha Yell
Xiao arrived next, summoned by Yanfei with a note that simply said:
"Keqing is trapped inside Ganyu. Bring Adeptus energy. Don't ask."
The stoic yaksha hovered down, took one look at the situation, and said flatly, “…I see.”
He tried a focused Anemo shout directly at Ganyu’s midsection — a compressed blast meant to force expulsion by vibrational force.
Ganyu yelped as the gust hit her stomach.
The belly jiggled violently.
Inside, Keqing screamed, “I’M NOT A WASHING MACHINE CYCLE, XIAO!!”
Still no exit.
Attempt #3: Cloud Retainer’s “Elegant Displacement Matrix”
Cloud Retainer arrived in full mechanical majesty, utterly composed.
“A curious conundrum,” she said, inspecting Ganyu like she was a particularly stubborn puzzle box. “Clearly an imbalance of internal harmony. I shall now deploy my Elegant Displacement Matrix.”
“Please don’t,” Ganyu whispered.
The Matrix involved dozens of floating jade instruments, harmonic chanting, and a series of synchronized bell chimes.
It was beautiful.
It was complicated.
It did nothing.
Cloud Retainer blinked. “Well. That was unexpected.”
Keqing’s muffled voice echoed: “That was ineffective and needlessly dramatic.”
Attempt #4: Zhongli
Finally, Zhongli appeared.
“Ah,” he said calmly. “A matter of misaligned celestial balance.”
He knelt beside Ganyu’s belly and placed a hand on it with quiet reverence.
“It is said that even stone may yield to the persistence of time,” he murmured.
He remained motionless for ten whole minutes.
Everyone waited.
The wind blew.
A bird cawed.
Ganyu sniffled.
Zhongli opened his eyes. “She is still inside.”
“Obviously!” Xiangling cried.
Ganyu lay flat on her back, a soft whump as her belly sloshed against the grass.
“I’ve tried herbs. Spices. Spells. Screaming. Science,” she moaned. “Why won’t she come out?”
Keqing groaned inside. “Because you have a magical hoover bag for a stomach and the world is unfair.”
“I’m going to be stuck like this forever…” Ganyu whimpered. “I'll have to become a floating stomach spirit, doomed to haunt flower meadows while full of Keqing.”
“Don’t be dramatic,” Yanfei muttered, scribbling notes. “Yet.”
Baizhu stood, rubbing his chin. “This may require something even more drastic…”
Ganyu gulped. “D-drastic?”
He nodded. “A soul-separation ritual. Or perhaps... an emotional trigger.”
Xiangling tilted her head. “Like... love?”
Everyone turned to look at Ganyu.
Ganyu froze.
Her face turned bright red.
“…W-why are you all staring at me like that?!”
From within her belly, Keqing let out a long, suspicious sigh.
“Oh no. Don’t even think about it.”
Everyone was out of ideas.
Ganyu sat slumped against a rock, face pale and eyes distant. Her massive stomach continued to gurgle uselessly, the occasional kick or muffled protest from Keqing still audible beneath her robes.
Baizhu rubbed his temples. “We’ve exhausted natural remedies, spiritual rituals, Anemo pressure techniques, and even an emotionally awkward confession strategy.”
“That was your idea!” Ganyu squeaked, still red in the face.
“I said maybe. Not kiss her through the belly.” Yanfei mumbled, flipping through her legal reference scroll.
Xiangling sighed. “So... what’s left?”
Baizhu cleared his throat and looked grim.
“There is… one final option.”
Everyone leaned in.
“...We could give Ganyu a specialized alchemical potion that would accelerate the digestive process,” he said carefully. “Then retrieve Keqing’s soul afterward through a resurrection ritual, using adeptal binding and soul-forging to reconstruct her body.”
Dead silence.
Then—
“ABSOLUTELY NOT!!” Keqing and Ganyu screamed at the exact same time.
Ganyu’s eyes welled up with panic. “D-digest her?! You want me to eat her for real?!”
“Have you LOST your mind?!” Keqing shouted from inside. “That’s not a solution! That’s—cannibalism with extra steps!”
“I would never suggest this lightly,” Baizhu said, hands raised in defense. “But at this point—”
“No way!” Ganyu whimpered. “I don’t care what magic you use! That’s still digesting her! I’m not turning my friend into nutrients!”
Inside, Keqing gagged. “And I’m not spending my last conscious moment being turned into goop and fat rolls!”
Ganyu flinched. “I-I wasn’t going to say that…”
“I’ve seen what happens to monsters that tried to swallow you!” Keqing shouted. “You choked one of them to death because it couldn’t fit you in one bite!”
“It was a reflex!!” Ganyu cried, ears flopping down. “And I did not gain any weight from that, thank you very much!”
Xiangling coughed awkwardly. “Actually, your hips looked kinda—”
“NOT NOW, XIANGLING.” Ganyu and Keqing both snapped in perfect unison.
Yanfei sighed and scribbled “No digestion” in bold across her notes. “Okay. So we rule out magical food processing.”
“Permanently,” Keqing muttered.
“I’m not ready to be processed,” she added under her breath. “And I’m sure I wouldn’t like it. I’ve got too much pride to melt.”
Baizhu sighed. “Then we’re back to square one.”
The group sat quietly as the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a golden glow over Ganyu’s squirming midsection.
The silence was broken only by another soft gloop.
Keqing let out a long, exhausted breath. “So what now?”
Ganyu placed her hands gently on her belly, voice barely a whisper. “We… wait.”
“For what?”
“…For anything else.”
The sky had long since shifted into dusk. The orange horizon glowed dimly behind the trees, casting long shadows across the grass. Everyone had fallen silent.
Ganyu sat motionless, her swollen belly rising and falling with each breath. Occasionally, Keqing shifted inside, but even she had grown quiet — worn down by hours of failed rescue attempts, spells, chants, and plans.
Baizhu stood again, holding a small crystal vial glowing with faint golden light. “This… is it,” he said, voice heavy. “The final method.”
Everyone stared at the potion.
A deep, awful silence hung in the air.
Ganyu’s voice cracked. “If I drink that, I’ll…”
“You’ll digest her,” Yanfei finished softly. “But we’ll have everything prepared to retrieve her essence and reconstruct her body through the ritual. She’ll come back. Theoretically… intact.”
Xiangling fidgeted. “And it’s safe? For both of them?”
Baizhu nodded slowly. “If done precisely. And quickly.”
Ganyu didn’t move.
Then—softly, from inside—Keqing’s voice returned. Quiet. Resigned.
“…There’s really no other way, is there?”
No one answered.
Keqing let out a breathless laugh. “Figures. Outsmarted by a stomach.”
Ganyu’s fingers trembled around the vial.
“I don’t want to do this,” she whispered, eyes brimming with tears. “I don’t want to lose you. Even if I get you back, I’ll remember… what I did.”
Keqing was quiet for a long time. Then:
“…I trust you.”
Ganyu blinked, stunned.
“I trust you not to mess it up. And to feel terrible about it for the next five years.”
A small, broken smile touched Ganyu’s lips. “I already do.”
Another pause.
“...Just don’t let me become hip fat.”
Ganyu choked on a tearful laugh.
“Okay,” she whispered, lifting the vial.
She hesitated—one last, long moment.
Then she drank.
The golden liquid slid down her throat, cool and warm at once. Her body shivered, stomach glowing faintly with light. For a moment, everything was still—
And then the process began.
A soft hum of magic resonated through her core. Her belly tightened, sloshed gently, and then began to… change. Slowly. The sensations intensified. Her face flushed. Her breathing quickened.
Inside, Keqing stirred one last time.
“...We better make a great story out of this when I’m back.”
And then — silence.
Ganyu curled forward, cradling her belly, glowing softly as the magic began the irreversible process.
Tears slid down her cheeks.
“I’ll bring you back,” she whispered. “I promise.”
The magic inside Ganyu had faded.
The warmth was gone. The glow, dimmed. The heavy fullness she'd been carrying for hours was no longer taut or active — it had simply… settled.
She sat there, blinking, confused, arms wrapped around herself.
And slowly, she realized something was different.
Very different.
Her robes clung tighter to her body now. Her once-slender frame felt heavier — hips spread wider against the grass, her thighs resting closer together. Her midsection had softened into a rounded shape, her lower belly gently pressing against her lap with the faintest residual gurgle.
She stared down in disbelief. Her face flushed bright pink.
“O-Oh…”
Xiangling, standing nearby with ritual tools in hand, blinked in confusion.
“Ganyu? Are you okay? You look—”
“B-Bigger,” Ganyu whispered, hugging herself tighter. “I haven’t… looked like this since I was training under Cloud Retainer and stress-snacked for a year…”
Yanfei glanced over, adjusting her glasses. “The sudden metabolization might’ve… redistributed the essence more literally than expected.”
“Y-You mean I… actually…” Ganyu trailed off.
Baizhu stepped forward. “There may have been an alchemical side effect. Your adeptal body processed Keqing’s essence, but some of it might have… remained. Temporarily.”
Ganyu looked horrified. “You mean… she’s part of me now?”
From behind, Cloud Retainer muttered, “I did warn you about the inefficiency of mortal digestion.”
Ganyu flushed harder, pulling her knees to her chest — or trying to, and realizing they didn’t quite fit the same way.
But everyone soon turned their attention to the array of glowing ritual tools laid out before them.
Yanfei stepped forward and began the chant.
The air shimmered.
The runes lit up.
The ground glowed beneath Ganyu.
And then—
Nothing.
The magic fizzled.
The light sputtered and vanished.
Silence.
Baizhu frowned. “No… that shouldn’t have failed. Everything was aligned.”
Yanfei scowled. “Maybe her soul’s not separating correctly. Maybe she’s still too… merged.”
Ganyu’s heart sank.
She placed both hands over her softened middle, biting her lip.
“…Keqing?” she whispered.
No response.
The others began rechecking symbols, recalibrating ley lines. But Ganyu sat motionless, listening.
Waiting.
Hoping.
Nothing.
She pulled her cloak tighter around herself, her expression far away, voice barely above a whisper.
“I was supposed to protect her… not carry the weight of this alone.”
The ritual had failed.
The group was tense, scanning the lingering magical traces for any clue. Ganyu sat quietly, her hands wrapped protectively around her new, softer curves, face still flushed with the shock of the sudden change.
Then, unexpectedly—
A harsh cough escaped her lips.
Everyone froze.
Ganyu’s eyes widened as she brought a small, slick object to her trembling hands.
It was Keqing’s pendant—covered in saliva but unmistakably hers.
Her heart sank deeply, the weight of the moment settling heavy in her chest. She stared silently at the pendant, then slowly lowered her gaze to the soft folds of her thighs and rounded belly.
No words came. Only the quiet, unspoken ache of loss and helplessness.
Then, from the circle of worried faces around her, Yanfei stepped forward, holding out her hand carefully.
“Ganyu,” she said gently, “there’s something... unusual about this pendant.”
She closed her eyes briefly, reaching out with her spiritual senses.
A faint, flickering essence pulsed within the pendant—a faint heartbeat, a whisper of life.
“It feels like—her,” Yanfei murmured. “Keqing’s spirit is somehow… bound to it. Not fully gone.”
Hope flickered in Ganyu’s eyes as she clutched the pendant tightly to her chest.
The others gathered closer, a quiet determination filling the air.
Maybe this small sign was the key.
Maybe Keqing was still with them—waiting.
The pendant pulsed softly in Ganyu’s hands, glowing faintly under the moonlight. The group quickly prepared the ritual once more, aligning ancient symbols and channeling ley lines with renewed hope.
A shimmering light enveloped Ganyu’s belly, warmth spreading through her like the first rays of dawn. Slowly, the light coalesced, growing denser and more defined.
A soft gasp echoed — a voice.
“Keqing?” Ganyu whispered, tears glistening.
Then, as if waking from a deep sleep, Keqing emerged, stepping out with a tentative smile. She looked exactly the same — graceful and poised as ever.
Without hesitation, Ganyu ran forward and wrapped her arms around her friend in a tight embrace.
“I’m so glad you’re back,” she breathed, voice trembling. “That digestion… was really unpleasant. I’m sorry you had to go through that.”
Keqing smiled softly. “I wasn’t sure if I’d survive the ‘magical digestion’ or if I’d come out as some kind of… ‘potbelly spirit.’”
Ganyu blushed, feeling the softness of her own body where it had changed — hips wider, belly rounder, curves fuller than before. She looked down at herself, then back up at Keqing with a sheepish smile.
“I can’t believe I got that fattening,” she said, poking her belly lightly with a finger and then lifting it gently with both hands. “Guess I had it in me all along.”
Keqing laughed warmly. “Well, you wear it well. Besides, I’m just happy you’re you.”
They shared a genuine smile, the tension of their ordeal melting away beneath the night sky.
Whatever the journey had been, they were back — together — ready to face whatever came next.
As the group began to relax after the successful ritual, Xiangling clapped her hands enthusiastically.
“Well, now that Keqing’s back, you two should definitely go have dinner! You’ve earned it.”
Keqing smiled warmly, nodding. “Yeah, a nice meal sounds perfect after all this.”
Ganyu glanced down at her softer, rounder figure and hesitated. Her cheeks flushed slightly as she felt the subtle jiggle of her belly and thighs with every small movement.
“I… I’ll come,” she said quietly, “but I probably won’t be eating much.”
Keqing gave her a reassuring look. “That’s okay. We’ll just enjoy each other’s company.”
As they all began walking toward the dining area, Ganyu found herself awkwardly adjusting to her bigger frame. Each step felt different—her hips wider, her belly fuller—and she couldn’t help but notice how much her robes shifted with even the slightest movement.
Keqing noticed immediately and smirked playfully. “Careful, Ganyu, your new curves might just steal the spotlight.”
The others chuckled softly, glancing her way.
Ganyu’s cheeks flamed bright red. “S-Stop it! I’m still me!”
Xiangling laughed. “You’re definitely still you — just a bit more… noticeable.”
Keqing gave a teasing wink. “Maybe you should start charging admission for this ‘new look.’”
Ganyu tried to hide behind a hand, but the warmth of her blush was unmistakable. Despite her embarrassment, a small smile tugged at her lips.
No matter what changed, the bond between them remained — unshaken and full of quiet joy.
As they settled around the dinner table, the atmosphere was light and full of laughter. The others couldn’t help but notice Ganyu’s softer, fuller figure — a change that hadn’t gone unnoticed.
Xiangling grinned. “Honestly, Ganyu, you look amazing. Like you’ve got this new confidence — and those curves suit you.”
Yanfei nodded enthusiastically. “Yes! It’s very… elegant. You’re glowing.”
Even Baizhu gave a rare approving smile. “The change suits your adeptal grace.”
Ganyu’s cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, hugging herself slightly.
“I… I guess it’s just a little embarrassing,” she murmured, biting her lip as a subtle shift of her belly and hips reminded her just how different she felt.
She hesitated, then lifted the edge of her robes to peek at her fuller backside.
“I never thought I’d… be like this again,” she admitted softly.
Suddenly—a sharp snap echoed through the quiet room.
Ganyu froze. Her eyes widened as she realized one of the seams in her robes had given way under the strain.
A gentle breeze brushed against her newly exposed skin.
The table erupted into surprised gasps and stifled laughter.
Keqing smirked with mock seriousness. “Well, I guess we’ve officially reached ‘can’t contain the curves’ status.”
Ganyu’s blush deepened, but a small, amused smile broke through. “I suppose… it’s a bit like old times.”
The warmth of friendship filled the room — and for the first time since the ordeal began, Ganyu felt truly at ease in her own skin.
All the characters that appear in this story belong to their respective owners.
