The AUSF-PR (Alliance Unified Standard for Firearms - Plasma Rifle) is an energy weapon with two selectable fire modes, the large selector on the stock phisically turns the beam emitter to change between safe, pulsed and stream mode, the controls next to the ammo counter is to change the fire rate in the pulsed plasma mode or to change the stream focusing, the cheap polyplastic-HTS construction and the variable fire modes allow it to be an exceptional combat tool useful to engage all sorts of threats in all conditions from Zero-G of space, to the jungles of a tropical planet or the frozen tundras of ice worlds.
