Mhm. You indeed guessed correctly. That was the day Wally lost his guardian. Yes, Birch saved him, but there was no guarantee of that outcome, thus going to the hotel that day became the day he lost him.

I knmow i'm probably rusty or maybe i didn't read it but what caused him to get upset wit Stan

Who's Stuart?

He didn't get upset with Stan. What he's referring to is the fact he constantly rushes into things. He rushed into finding someone to teach him music as a pup when he had that issue with Birch back then, and it led to him almost being taken advantage of by Grizz.

And Stuart is a friend of Wally's that he, for a very long time, refused to talk to over a misunderstanding that occured when they were pups.
