A long-awaited cover commission for my friend Sol for the first book in his Emergence series, Here Be Dragons. For millennia, humanity thought the Mainland and its surrounding islands was the only substantial landmass in existence. That is, until the world's first satellite launched and sent back images of two other continents in the far ocean.
The Horizon, first intercontinental sailing ship ever built, sets sail for the new lands with a crew of world-renowned experts. Nearly to new shores, disaster strikes during a freak storm, leaving the ship at the hands of a lone survivor: Dr. Alexander Pryce. Without the expertise of his colleagues, Pryce must survive in uncharted land while he waits for rescue, alone. Or so he thinks.
