I had some issues with Disney Duckverse but I think I've gotten over them? Darkwing Duck was one of the most important animated series of my childhood, so I'm not ready to just give it up because of a few unpleasant events.
So, I decided to draw DW (or “Darkwing Doubloon,” as he was called in the pirate episode) and Negaduck but closer to how I currently draw anthropomorphic birds with coloring based on real mallards.

Oof, I've been there, too-- Awesome show, horrible fandom. It takes time, but it gets better when you commit to focusing on your own enjoyment and ignore what the fanfreaks are doing.
