the MDI (Munar Defence Initiative) Type-302 is the modular rifle of the Microbeam family of rifles, it's blocky and roomy polyplastic body it's designed to house various kind of modules, this was originally designed to offer standard outer body and a modular inner workings to create a varied family of infantry level DEW.

Only few versions of the rifle became popular, the pulsed particle beam version due to it's adoption by the ADF, or the LAER (Laser Assisted Electric Rifle) and UPL (Ultrashort Pulse Laser) by their limited adoption by Metrohive security, Vanguard contractor forces and freelancers, yet an enormous variety of exotic versions are in use by all sorts of research labs of the MDI and AWS labs becoming one of the preferred testbed of these agencies.
