Kavod, a talented shapeshifter, was sent by Dovak's enemies to spy on the demon lord. But Dovak and his minions eventually defeated and caught him. The easy option would have been to simply execute the cunning shapeshifter, but Dovak isn't one to let a useful tool go to waste...

I imagine Dovak giving Kavod tips on how to talk like him, walk like him, and stand like him. Probably tells him to take on a pinkish hue instead of red when he's around the castle though. Wouldn't want Bron or Evelan to mistake them. Kavod might be kept a secret from all but Dovak's most trusted.
