I wanted to try a semi-realistic cheetah in the savannah again—that's a must every now and then. Before it sounds like Groundhog Day, it became some sort of fanart of "Jua" and "Pum", the two protagonists of my novel (https://www.gephleckt.de/).

In this very scene, Jua is trying to give Pum some hunting lessons, despite the fact Pum doesn't understand anything about hunting, no matter how many times you may explain it to him, and that's precisely why he finds everything about it incredibly boring. So, hanging upside down from a rock may be the appropriate reaction: Or maybe he's fallen asleep and toppled over from boredom. We'll never find out.

Overall, my goal was to try again with a savannah background made of soft color gradients, after I got frustrated with my last attempt (see: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/58592356/). It actually turned out nicer and softer, but it's still missing a few color speckles and the impression of depth.

My personal highlight is Pum's head – especially the eyes are beautifully positioned despite the rather small size of the paper and the upside-down pose.
