Being proud, noble and extremely rare beasts, thrumbos are valued all over the planet, and domesticated ones are a luxury even bigger colonies usually can't afford.
Seeing a pair of wild herbivore giants, adventurous otter grabbed fruits to try lure and befriend them... ending in a failure and humiliation...
"Beats being impaled..." - He mumbled, laying in grass and suddenly seeing looming horned shadow and angry blue eyes piercing him with envy
"Uh, Thundergut? I-it's not what it looks like..." - But big beast made his mind, picking tiny otter, dusting him off and pressing into his hungry maw...
"Nooo! Please, I still love you more!!" - his pleas went on deaf thrumbo ears, as Thundergut greedily swallowed small colonist. Misbehaving otter will learn to obey their bond, staying in cavern of a stomach till morning, or late afternoon, or day more... as long as it will be needed to remind who's the alpha thrumbo around the rim...
