The Sorgathian Wall Mites are a peculiar species. Upon hatching from their eggs, they immediately seek out dark, dank and remote places where they settle and absorb whatever nutrients through their dermal layer as they grow over a period of months. This particular colony strain has found its way into an ancient mountain-sized D'rungatha temple. Specifically, the numerous squared ventilation shafts on the temples ceiling that kept the vast structure from becoming too humid back when its occupants were still alive many centuries ago. The constrained space of the shafts makes it so that each Wall Mite that emerges from one is in the shape of an elongated box. Dissection of multiple different variants have shown that the constrained form does not harm it's internal organs in any way, surprisingly. The Institute will continue monitoring these fascinating creatures. Its internal workings might prove useful in the field of bio splicing.
