There is nothing wrong with asking those questions.
Reaffirm yourself and take count of what you have.
Are you safe? Do you have a roof over your head? Do you have access to a warm meal?
If the answer to these questions is yes, then you have time to answer the more existential questions.
They might not come immediately, but so long as you are caring for yourself, you have time.
