I have seen many pictures of Dess Holiday across FA, Twitter, and many areas where art was, and a lot showed her either as a warrior or the Roaring Knight. I wanted to give my own spin on the take by basing her off an Oni Ogre from chinese mythology. Big forearms, massive club, fur on the jacket & shorts.

This was also inspired by Vapor_Eight(https://x.com/vapor_eight) of their Dess and Swiwwel(https://x.com/swiwwel) of their large forearmed slime cutie!

On top of that, a bit of lore of my own: "For the longest time, Dess was thought to have gone missing or killed by something, with her mother becoming obsessed with her return. Even to ask Gaster, a long lost dead scientist with unnatural powers.

In truth, Dess did go missing, but it was after discovering Gaster, of his experiments giving her a vampire human’s SOUL and fleeing through Dark World after Dark World. In that time, she has followed her mother on what she did, the plan she was putting into place alongside Kris, who was guilt-driven by a “promise” to Carol.

While she was given unnatural powers by those experiments, it also gave her a complication that kept her from wanting to be seen. While she could bring her Dark World form & powers to the Light World, she had to fuel her new SOUL with blood, be it from Lightners or Darkners."
