While not hunting a bounty or taking advantage of other parties, Luther spends his time creating new poison mixtures. If he doesn't have a "test dummy" he will test mixtures on himself.
His high tolerance allows him to survive even if the mixture is lethal. However, some poisons can still cause some "side effects". An extreme case of bloating for instance might be silly but could also be a fun diversion to incumber unsuspecting foes!
