One of the reasons I've not drawn recently - although I've been getting urges - is that I now have a full-time job, a long commute, and other things have taken a higher priority in my free time.

However, last week, a meeting at work ended early, and we had a meeting scheduled in 15 minutes with the same people +two others. So while waiting (in the same room, too), I started sketching on the back of my notes, in pen. Didn't get to finish, but the expression came out a lot better than I expected, given how bad I usually am with them.

The plan was to have him holding some sort of burning stick/sparkler, probably ignited magically (with a much larger flame than is natural).
