The attack was sudden. The attack force was outnumbered, but the attackers were far from outmatched. Not only did the force contain several powerful Yondards, but alongside them were what were referred to as "Golems". Hulking constructs of mass and stone that helped to overpower the knights. It was decided that the prince, despite his best efforts to aid his knights, would need to be protected and moved out the area.

The prince would be battered, but his knights, practically his family, risked their lives to ensure the prince escaped. It was his knights, as well as his teleportation (an ability he had initially hidden from most ) that allowed him to escape and, as far as he knew, may have been the only one.

The kingdom of Black Maw had fallen to Zumina, and how Mundane Prince Taiga of Black Maw would begin his journey, sorting through his feelings of hopelessness, his need to find a way to regain his country, and the frustration of, for a while, being unable to find any who would offer him aid.
