Wait, whatever happens next better make sense, because I remember what was probably when we were first introduced to Marylyn, she was most definitely did not know - or at least acted like she didn't know - that Kylar was gay.

Marylyn is only just now finding out about him being gay. She didn't know, Kylar has not even 'named' it as being gay - like he hasn't even called himself that. Joel suspects it because of what they did together and he himself is gay.

Anyways, that's why she is so upset right now. I was hoping that was pretty clear in the text.

So this takes place in the past. Which means the thing that kept him sane was the letters and journaling. And she finds it. So now she Knows knows. Which... makes me wonder how this resolves. Considering how much he hates himself and how he's trying so hard to hide this part of himself, I don't know if he would be desperate enough to do something drastic, especially knowing that he could be outed by his wife.

And yet, does he somehow get to have both?
