When she was a Team Rocket trainee, her wounds were never properly treated. Harsh training continued late into the night, and then a few hours later, when morning came, training would begin again. She endured the pain of her wounds and quickly fell asleep so as not to waste what little rest she had.
At OTW, the residents worried about her even for the slightest injury. This was very foreign to her, as she had grown up in a world where being distracted by injury or pain could mean losing your life. Yet, it was never unpleasant for her.
