White furred soles can easily show the dust and dirt so it's best to make sure they have a thorough brushing so they're nice and clean, though if Russie's a little ticklish then best to have him in the stocks so he'll remain relatively still. Though really of course it's just an excuse to tickle a rather adorable panda.
