I got this idea when I was listening to Brothers of Metal and their song 'Chainbreaker' which talks about how Fenrir will eventually break free of the magical chains that hold him down during Ragnarok. Here we can see a black wolf who took inspiration from that mythology and is breaking free from his own chains. I imagine he's grinning... since... you know... it wasn't very hard.
