We're calling him Bandera cuz we found him by the Bandera exit offa 410.
and 
had picked me up from work and we were on our way home when Gav's jeep sprung a flat >.<
So we were moseying on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck when a cop pulled up to see if we were all right. When he walked by a gutter I heard MEOW! MEW! MEOW! And went to investigate. Mind you we're by the ramp onto the highway. I went to tthe gutter and heard this lil guy loud n clear! Sadly I couldn't reach him :/
Then,
showed up to take Silieka and I home and I told her about the kitten. She went over there and practically stuck her whole upper half down in the gutter to find this lil dude.
Now normally, a scared kitten in a loud highway gutter won't come to you and just sit there and meow. Nooo, this guy came a-runnin up to Tarra's hand and she was able to grasp him by his scruff (because he tried to climb the side of the gutter to get to us) and pull him out.
Poor thing was stinky and very skinny D:
I stole's sammich and gave him the meat out of it...that and a bit of a protein bar i had on me XD
So went to go get him food and we have a wet lil furball (gave him a bath) running around the apt now.

This is actually the second time it's happened to me o.o
This lil one was a bit luckier then the first. We named her Baby Lampasas
She was actually in the middle of the highway and had been sideswiped in the face. We couldn't save the eye, but she lived a long while and ended up finding a nice home

im trying to find a home for mine XD I found mine at work hiding under a storm drain so I almost named him Publix XD Here's a pic of him http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6196739 Amazingly, he's in good health and has no internal parasites, he was living under there going in and out for over a week!

This sort of thing seems to be happening more and more frequently. My parents found a pair of kittens (believed to be about 5 weeks old) in their warehouse. They were going to take them to a shelter but quickly changed their minds when they found out it wasn't a 'no kill' shelter... the girl is now owned by a family friend who already has some animals and was VERY interested in having another cat. The boy was just recently given to a young lady who is a friend of my sister's who was VERY interested in having a second cat. Both seem like very good homes... even though I really REALLY wanted to keep both of them.
I'm gonna miss them lots.
They were quite thin and very skiddish when they were found, but now... they're healthy, they've had their shots, and they are both little brats! X3 The little girl was getting into EVERYTHING... and the little boy loves to run back and forth across the room at full speed... even though it's a tile floor and he has no traction to stop!

Yeah... it really is. Not long after mom and dad found them and took them to the vet to get checked out, they found another one on the side of the road, having been hit by a car.
It kinda hit my dad like a ton of bricks, what they had done. He still can't quite believe just how close the two were to being killed. When talking about them, he often brings up "You know... we really did save their lives! They wouldn't have made it out there!"
It takes my dad incidents like this to make him realize how far the effect his actions reach.

I'm really an advocate for spaying and neutering pets unless they are intended to be bred.
That aside, give this guy a loving home. Rescues make the best pets.

It's true, cat's CAN sense when you really want to help them. My mom rescued a cat from an abandoned building because he had chased a mouse under a refridgerator and gotten stuck in the frame. Keep in mind this was an adult cat, but he weighed only 6 pounds when we got him out. We have no idea how long he was there, but he was all skin an bone.
He is now living with another family, and weighs 18lbs. :p
