Oh god the trauma from fishing rod lines snapping is being remembered. God I hated that shit so much in Sonic Adventure, hhhhhh! It felt like they had the right idea, but goddamn it needed some WORK! Pffft!

I think that they wanted to make it harder for the player to link the lives system to the fishing lines or it would be too easy for Big to get through the stages ... in hindsight, that would have been a good thing.

The fishing line is linked to the Lives System, if a line snaps at all from fishing to get Froggy himself or any other fish, it just lops a life off! And it really didn't take much to snap it even with the upgraded fishing rod!
