Finally, after months of consideration and editing what Shaze truly is, the amazing   Pulex made my new reference sheet and gave Shaze an appearance which I can only love!

Shaze has come a long way, starting from the first, own drawn sketches almost 10 Years ago. Back then I didn't even knew what a furry was or who I was! I thought I was just a regular boy, but that changed... The rainbow coloured hair should have given a hint back then to myself :D

Back then Shaze was everything I wasn't. He was brave, he was liked by people and just vived. He was open and certain about himself. He could just go and meet with his friends. One scene was in particular present: spending the day at a Crystal clear beach, enjoying life with friends playing beach volleyball. As the night comes they all go to a club and dance, just enjoying the company of others and not being scared. The bold hairline only made that stronger. The hidden key message? Be proud of who you am.

A few years pass and several changes happened. A different class in school with different people, the e chance to discover myself more. Simultaneously, growing stronger connected to online communities. Eventually a friend of a friend of discord friend (yes, that story :D ) offered to draw me a ref sheet free of charge to train her skills (sadly, I cannot get the name as there were no credits on the ref :( ).

Excited as I was back then 7 years ago, I took that offer. Seeing as it all happened I was way to shy to add anything, I didn't want to hurt her feels and make changes, so I nodded everything. That's the moment Shaze switched his nationalities and switched to the Eurasian Lynx (previously Canadian)!

More years pass and life takes its turns as it does. A pandemic later here I was.

Getting into the fandom after a long break I got back to who Shaze was. And I realized: I AM Shaze!

I am living the dream my younger self had daily when working on that picture. Working on how exactly everything would look like, how to express himself... That was me now. I know who I am, I am not shy about myself and get out and show everyone my true side. The colours, the emotions, the bright side of life; they get to see it all. There is no need to hide anymore, everyone had to accept who I was: Myself.

That all lead to who Shaze is now in his new appearance: proud, pride, happy, visible. There is no need to hide our true colours, because they are what makes us unique in a grey world. They are the colours we should never forget.

Coming back to it's original roots it's what Shaze was meant to be from the very beginning: A cheerful guy, living the dream. Day to Day.

While he has grown mature, the love for details only grew: the spots on his left arms are those of the pride flag. Why left? Because he is left handed!
The hair is long, large, colourful. Telling a story and sending a signal: it is okay to be- you.

Lastley, the general fur colour. Shaze has grown in this aspect. The reason for that is rather simple, Shaze grew mature after all. The regular colours show that although he is unique, he is not abnormal or some alien; he is just your average lynx showing himself. (And more importantly, it's easier to be realized as a fursuit!)
