"But.. without you... where will I go? Where do I turn..?"
"To the stars, my friend. To the stars."
______________________________
This... is actually the first picture of these two together. They are connected in the same universe, I've just never decided on having them as separate beings or having them be different versions of each other.
Rami Khalil is a prince, heir to a throne he doesn't see himself fit for. Makuna is a celestial dragon, and can only walk on earth if he possesses a vessel. Rami becomes Makuna's vessel, and so gains his powers of elemental manipulation, specifically the ability to summon storms and meteor showers. Rami's people believed this form of magic to be witchcraft and unholy, so a spell was cast to expel Makuna from Rami's body to a physical form, so he was able to walk on land beside Rami. The two of them become friends and dependent on each other until one day, the spell starts to break, and Makuna has to return to the sky as he makes the choice to not possess Rami again. This is when they part ways.
Their lore i still a work in progress!! But that's the basic idea. Yes, the quote is from Dragonheart. lol
