I'm not sure when it came about, but they started to dip into the realm of mortals. I thought it would be interesting to have mythical figures be responsible for scientific innovations. I posit the open question: if it's Divinity that revealed this insight, or if it's men who were elevated to the heights of gods for their discoveries? (Within this fictional world of course)
