It's not first time I'm making one. In past I've made quite a few fursona ideas which I decided to not use afterwards for different reasons. Most important one for me was that I don't really enjoy drawing solo males :D
Recently after talking to some friends of mine they gave me wolf in sheep clothing idea and I was like whatever I'll just have him now.
No idea what arts you'll see with him in future but ya, now it exists xD
