Well I don't if this worked, I hope it did. Gade did this work for your muffins? Its always handy to have a substitute idea when no egg is to be found. This is from the kitchens of  gade

Needed a break from school for a bit.

So I'm baking muffins, and I need an Egg. I never have eggs (I use like two and then they expire) so I look up a substitute for one.
Two tablespoons of water, Two teaspoons of Baking powder, One tablespoon of oil.

I don't have any oil left after my sister used it all to fry french fries about three years ago =D

Then I figured butter(I used margarine) wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the oil.

This is my faked egg. It's probably edible.
