I wanted to try harder at my sketchbook version of this drawing to feel better about it, and I am proud of the direction so far! I wanted to put him in an underalley for that urban grit.
I am not used to drawing guns, so this was a challenge to draw him holding one “properly.”
I do truly like his leather outfit here. Gives a cool energy. I can just imagine how it sounds on him, how he suits up, how smooth it feels if he were to embrace you…ah.
I gave him a tank here for his SCBA, but I was thinking it more like a rebreather unit, a bulky thing with filters and whatnot. I do like the sleek look of an air tank (firefighters, divers…), but this cyberpunk vibe will probably look cool with something as “high tech” as a land rebreather, yeah?
