In certain ways, yes. Yes, it was.
This pic reminds me strongly of any of the scores of "bad guy" photo portraits I've seen, that were made between the end of the Civil War and the start of Prohibition. Good pic and good times.

Thanks, I'm from the east coast (NY) and i've never been out west and i've always wondered about what the west was like now and in the past since all i've reallly got to go on is TV and google. I'm glad the pic conveyed the "bad guy" photo portrait since that's what i was trying to go for. I couldn't really find good refs and so i mostly referenced a supposed pic of Billy the Kid.
