This is a reposting of my magnum opus, The Planeswalker: Between Skies, 2nd Edition. The only difference is that this version has been brought below 10 MB by reducing the size of the chapter art images - which allows it to embed directly into FA with the new in-browser document viewer. You can now read the story without having to leave FA at all!

Otherwise, this is effectively identical to the previous release of the 2nd Edition. While I have fixed a few typos and other minor grammatical errors since its release, I have been keeping the live versions on my microsite updated. This release includes all of those minor fixes.

While I have been working on other things since then, I still greatly adore this book and remain proud of it even over two years later. Every time someone tells me that they enjoyed it, were inspired by it, or that the story or characters resonated with them, it makes me very happy. So, I am taking advantage of FA's recent update that adds a document viewer, and am putting an FA-sized version up in the hopes of reaching more potentially interested individuals. I do plan on writing more stories connected to this one! It's just a matter of planning and time.

It is the culmination of everything I have learned as a writer to date: believable characters with great depth to them, a setting to draw the reader into, a high stakes adventure, and emotional moments between the cast. The Second Edition, in addition to fixing some grammatical errors that slipped through editing, includes a set of appendices that expand on the book with five bonus scenes, character notes, and setting lore. It also features cover art by  passacalia, chapter art and concept art by  not-fun, and detailed character drawings by  Inert-Ren. Once again I would like to thank  binarian for being my editor.

The 2nd Edition comes one full year to the day since the first edition was published. It picked up far more readers than I expected and its emotional weight and importance to me hasn't diminished at all. It was a delight to expand on the story and tie up some loose ends, as well as to include more candid notes on the characters and setting for those who are interested.

For first-time readers, welcome! I hope you enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed writing it. For those who read the first edition, the text of the main story has not been meaningfully changed, but please check the appendices and the included art from the talented artists I commissioned.

I am not proud of much in my life, but I am proud of this story. It makes me happy. I gave it everything I had, and I greatly enjoy going back and re-reading certain parts of it for the emotions it can evoke, the characters in it, and its messages. Even if it falls into total obscurity, it will always hold a special place in my heart. And nothing can take that away from me.

Even if I write another book, be it in a new setting or a continuation of this one, it is unlikely it will have as much personal meaning to me as this one does. This truly is my best work.
