First pic is Ara as they currently are, second (this one) was when they were a young portrait artist called Yonnaise :)

His hair is naturally black but since a scandal* and having a bit of a mental breakdown, they had a friend put a strong enchantment that makes their hair very white and sparkly :)

*same scandal that made them change their name from Yonnaise to Araneolus
