Surprise surprise! A completely random thing from me - a ref sheet of my own character I created back in... 2018!?!?
It's when she first appeared on canvas - basically with the same design she has now (besides eyes which were changed from yellow to light green), her leafy outfit was a bit different back then. Three years later I decided to do a ref sheet of her - and I abandoned my work after doing most of flat colors. In the meantime, she got her name changed from Serena to Willow.
Yesterday while working on that hot Will's armor I looked for Will's references and found that abandoned ref sheet by accident, but kept it open in my drawing program. And today I couldn't decide what to draw, so I thought 'why not to finish this one? I have so many unfinished artworks, and this one looks good enough!''
Here it is, a playful forest spirit named Willow, with beautiful, long, wavy hair - just like Vixen's 😉
Am I 100% satisfied with how it turned out? Absolutely not! I didn't touch the lineart and kept it 2021 style (which isn't the worst!), I experimented with background and font which are not 100% perfect - but hey, nothing is perfect 😉 So I don't mind these imperfections, especially in my personal work. At least Willow has her beautiful ref sheet, and soon maybe I'll do my other characters as well!
