"Look! Those black berries changed my color to the color of my mom!" Draigar exclaimed.
"Hah, yes, that it is." Sierra chuckled lightly, although the cheer was short lived.
"I so miss her..." Draigar spoke somberly as she lowered her muzzle down, sniffing a bit. "But... I know that she will never come back. You miss her too, yeah?"
"Yes... I do. And I also regret that I didn't have the chance to properly say goodbye." Sierra admitted as he leaned down.
"You loved her, didn't you?" Draigar asked as she looked up at the flyer.
Sierra nodded. "Yes, I loved her with all my heart. Yet now, I have you. Her kin whom I must care for and protect."
Draigar looked up and gave a small smile.
"Now then..." Sierra spoke up as he used his tongue to moisturise his fingers, then, he gently rubbed the sweet bubble juice off of her snout. "There... much better. You don't have to be like her. I love you the way you are, kiddo." He said with a gentle smile.
Draigar huddled to the flyer tightly. "Thank you Da... I mean, Sierra."
This art was inspired by RevheadArts, a piece in which Rinkus colored himself with the juice of sweet bubbles in order to be more attractives to females. And this scene came to my mind where Sierra and Draigar were fooling around by throwing black berries at each other.
It was then that Draigar saw that the way the juice was on her snout, and how the leaves fell onto her mane, that it gave her a strong resemblance to her long deceased mother - Drago. A purple Backwing with a green mane. Draigar misses her mom, but Sierra supports her with words of encouragement and a gentle touch.
In this art, there is a hidden body language. Sierra doesn't just rub off the juice from her snout. He cleans her face and takes off the leaves from her mane in order to see her true colors, instead of the colors of his deceased loved one. That way, he tells her how deeply attached he had become to her.
They are now an inseperable duo, who can be easily spotter near the ravine or watering hole. To Sierra, Draigar is like his own daughter, while Draigar sees in him a true father figure. And they both are completely unaware just how related they truly are.
