LotFC bestiary. Terror of the night lands
The true terror of the Forbidden Lands, so much so, that even the bravest Flyers and Stingteeth tremble in fear.
The Night Whistler, the most mysterious denizen of the gloomy lands where the sun never shines.
Only few were able to live to tell the tale and describe how he looks like, as many fell prey to it. And those who miraculously survived, will forever remember the clacking of his jaws and his soul rendering scream.
Despite his size, which is barely larger than a Swimmer, this monster can easily lurk and hide in the eternal darkness. The only thing that can alert you of his presence, is his unique shriek which sounds similar to a whistle. The only issue is that the closer tis beast is, the lower the frequency of his cries, and the further he is away, the louder the whistle.
As such, a false sense of security fall over his prey. As it believes the predator had moved on, when in reality, he is very close and is ready to strike. The Neuro-paralyzing venom in his fangs makes sure that the prey is pacified before he proceeds to suck the blood out of their bodies before leaving them to their slow and agonizing demise.
Mostly active during thunderstorms, and worse still, as he absorbs the electrical discharge from the air, his antennas and spikes take on an ethereal glow, which makes him, who is already terrifying enough, an even more terrifying look.
