For bladespark's contest. I hope I made the deadline in time! I've been working on the design all month and it wasn't until tonight that I got to finish the actual piece. Here's some concept art to give you a look at his face.

A note on the orbs: as I was going through the design process, I imagined the orb on its head would contain all the sins of life on Earth. Since he's the Guardian Dragon, seeing it would take away his will to fight on behalf of others. His head is the safest place for it, making a mirror his only weakness. The bead on his tail would represent the virtues and would always serve as a reminder of why he fights.

(If any of that clashes with your concept in any way, just disregard it! I got kind of carried away with it. ^^;)
