This is my entry for
Young-at-Heart-Bear and their Padded Care Bear Crossover Challenge.
I spent a good while struggling to decide what I should include as the crossover property. I initially wanted to use something that was owned by the same holder of Care Bears. One potential property was the OG Popples, as they are fairly cute and from the time of all the cute plushes turned tv shows phase.
However, I had a vision. I was obsessed with a scene of Hugs sitting on another tiny character with her huge diapered rear. Popples wouldn’t work for that, so I thought about who could potentially fit the bill and then when it crossed my mind, I knew I had to stick with it: The Biskitts: A show about cute tiny puppies who protect treasure from Bad Guys, and have virtually no diapered fan art.
And so my vision came together. The Biskitts were fun to draw and I’m surprised there’s no diapered fanart that I know of. I think I did fairly well on Hugs, but that was due to me relying heavily on one specific screencap, not my own abilities. How did Hugs end up in a Hanna-Barbara cartoon? You’ll have to figure that out.
Visual Description:
Hugs, the pink baby Care Bear in a cloth diaper held up with knots on the side, is seated on the grass as she looks over her shoulder with her mouth slightly open in surprise while blushing. Sticking out from beneath her diapered rear is the thickly diapered hindquarters of Lady, one of the Biskitts, a small dog with light brown fur and a short tail.
Standing to the right of Hugs diapered rear is Shiner, another Biskitt, with brown fur and a white muzzle with a white strip running up between his eyes. He is clad in a thick disposable diaper, a green tunic with a thick yellow stripe down the middle, a yellow collar, and a green bard’s cap with a big yellow feather. He points at Hugs’ diaper and states “You cannot expect me to change this giant’s unmentionables!”
The background features bluish-green grass and a large blue shadowed tree next to Hugs and a lake beyond the tree covered by a veil of fog.
