Meine gefesselten Lieblingsratten 4: Bulli
Next rat on the list is Bulli from the third season of the early 90 cartoon show "The Animals of Farthing Wood". I don´t know, if he had a different name in the english original.
Long story short: He was the final influence for Eternal´s design, especially his cheekiness.

Exactly.

oh this is delightfully cute with that puzzled expression and bandanna gag^^
The animals of Farthing Wood was an incrediby influencial tv show since I watched it as a kid growing up^^ I have vivid memories of the tv hostess warning that "this episode might be a little bit scary for children" and what happened on that episode? only the woles and the mice getting IMPALED on torns by murder birds xD
but yeah I loved the first season but I never got to watch more than to the second one, so never got to see this cute fellow^^

Thanks much, Sir.
Indeed, this tv show was an example that some animation studios took children as audience serious and were willing to show them, that life is not all about happy endings and stuff.
This particular episode I remember too very clearly. Even more the one, where the hedgehog couple was killed by the cars on the highway.
Later, the tv show received the nickname "Game of Thrones for children" for its fearless use of on screen deaths.
