I suspected shape tweens would be really suited for this kind of animation - was something I really wanted to try.
Thought it would be a fun detail in upcoming CozyCon stream BG, not sure it'll be noticeable - I had a good time working at it at least.
And who knows, maybe I can use what I learned for something fun in future :>

This is in Flash Animate but I think Macromedia Flash (my usual program) could achieve the same effect - it's the pre-Adobe version of this software, old but simple and capable :>
If you're curious what kind of things are possible to animate in flash you can check out my animated icon gallery, I'm not sure if newgrounds is mostly still flash but it was back in my day (am old )
