Alfonzo got up early to go to Clark's house to check on Drake. He was wondering how he was getting used to living under strange animal people's protection. He rang the doorbell and Clark let him in. "Shouldn't you be getting ready for school?" the lion asked.
"Already packed up. I just wanted to see if Drake is alright." Alfonzo asked.
The lion nodded. "Yep, he's alright. I did find some interesting stuff about Earth humans and about us."
"What do you mean 'us'?" the fox asked.
"Why don't you ask him yourself?" Clark smiled excitedly.
Alfonzo entered the house and saw Alfonzo drinking coffee while writing in a notebook. "Hey there, how was your time here?"
Drake said, "Oh, just fine. Clark is actually a very nice guy. Most lion people are like that."
"He said lion people, my ancestors, visited his planet a long time ago and our people forgotten. And lions originated from the constellation Leo." Clark said.
"Really, we are aliens to this planet?" Alfonzo asked.
"Uh huh." Drake said. Fox people came from Vulpecula, the fox constellation. Many canines came from Canis Major. Ancient humans revered your people a long time ago. They thought they were gods and worshiped them. They writing you use today is Hieroglyphics which is considered an ancient writing system." Drake held up a table of letters.
"Do you know what these mean?"
"No, not really." Alfonzo answered.
"This is the English alphabet my people use. I come from a city called 'Delaware' which is part of state called 'Ohio' which is part of a country called the 'United States'. Hieroglyphics come from a country called Egypt. It's the writing system you use."
"Where did humans originate?" Alfonzo asked.
"Many places. My ancient ancestors came from the Orion constellation. Most humans have forgotten their ancient ancestry and think animal people are mere myths." Drake said.
"I thought humans knew about us." Alfonzo said.
"Some do. There are ancient astronaut theorists who believe in you guys. There are also those who kept your existence a secret like the SSP or the Illuminati." Drake shuddered. "Those secret societies give me the creeps."
Alfonzo wanted to ask about who the Illuminati were but decided to save that one for another day. "I have a question, why don't we remember our ancient ancestors?"
"Because many of your ancient astronaut ancestors colonized on this planet, also had a deep state problem, and kept you all from the dark." Drake answered. "Why don't you think I'm too eager to just stroll around outside in broad daylight? Your planet's secret space program could return me to my captors!"
"Then we need to keep your whereabouts a secret." Clark said seriously. "Drake told me about the horrible things these dark humans are known for."
Alfonzo looked at his watch. "Shoot! I got to get to class. But let me ask one more question. What would happen if a normal human being saw on of our people arrive on your planet?"
"That depends on the human." Drake said. "Some might welcome you with open arms, others might think you're a space monster."
"Thanks for your time, I'm looking forward to visiting you again." Alfonzo waved to Drake. He left for class thinking about all the knew knowledge that Drake gave him in deep thought. Little did he realize, someone was spying on him.
