Driver Vit next to the RA1 rail bus on the territory of the TC-1 Grand depot. RA1 (Rail Bus, 1st type) is a railcar manufactured by the JSC Metrovagonmash plant, structurally unified with the metro car. In the factory documentation of JSC Metrovagonmash, RA1 are classified as "rail buses". They are designed to transport passengers on non-electrified sections of railways and can be used for urban, suburban and interregional communication. They have cabins at both ends of the car, do not require turning. At the same time, they can be used both individually and in a system of many units in a coupling of 2-3 sections. The RA1 family is represented by six models: four for use in Russia and two for export. The body, crew and chassis are made on the basis of the Yauza metro cars. This RA1-0001 rail bus was built in 1997.
