it is the misfortunes of life and how one reacts to those that shows a strong character.

Since her birth, floris was dealt a harsh hand. Born into a small tribe that lived in the harsh desert sands. She was the eldest child of the tribes chief who viewed her as unworthy to succeed him.Expected to remain quiet and serve quietly in the shadows, floris went against the grain and spoke up.

Even in her youngest years she displayed a remarkable mind, eager to learn and put her mind to any task. In a male heir, it would be a respectable trait. But for now she was allowed to grow and prosper with hushed hatred in parents eyes.

That would all change however when her father was gained the honour of a son. Floris then found herself being sent on military endeavours touted as way to gain combat and leadership. The truth however was the hope that the task would prove too hard for the young heir and she's would lose her life to at least reclaim some shred of honour for her family. But each time she came home successful. And those missions honed floris physically. Over time she became a adept hand to hand fighter desperate to please her father and tribe.

But all that work proved fruitless. Realising the current plan failed time and time again. Thus come the next mission, the squad led by floris had another goal. Ensure she did not come back alive.

So it was with glee that the kinsmen she trusted thrust their blades and clubs onto the heir leaving her broken and battered in the desert sands.

But that was not to be her fate. As she lay dying, grasping her last breath a traveling mage from nearby city took pity upon the mare and brought her home. Restoring her to health and taking her as a apprentice, he soon became a father figure who saw the potential and talent she held.

It was this recognition that brought floris to become learning in the magical arts. She gained a knack for defensive magic to bolster the offensive capabilities a harsh and rough life had granted her.
