Reference sheet for the absolutely awesome and patient  runningwind who went WAY out of her way just to get this commission. She sent me an envelope all the way from Texas! You know how awesome it is to get mail from Texas when you live all the way up in Canadaland? Well... it's pretty freaking awesome.

I was working from the written description on your profile page, and I tried to include a little of the IRL you from those lovely pictures you sent to me. I hope it comes out in this image. ...And I hope I did you justice!

Oh, as a side note: Since you mentioned your main fur colour was black instead of tan, I took the liberty of doing some research to see if there were any black hyenas in nature. And I found the Striped Hyena. This wicked breed is black and grey, and has a crest along it's back that it can stick straight up to look bigger and more intimidating than it really is. Forgive me, but I thought it was appropriate. ;)
