Well, folks, this is it: the first work I’ve uploaded to my dA gallery in over 4 years. And since I’ve owned this account now for over 15 years (!), I’ve decided, at long last, to try uploading concurrently to dA and FA. I figured it’s only fair since so many of my friends and acquaintances have migrated from dA to FA over the years, including, most recently, an artist whom I considered my closest friend on dA: Ashley, whose OC I featured in this story as a guest character. Now—most (if not all) of my previous works will remain exclusive to dA, but with any luck, this will mark a new beginning of dual-gallery uploading (fingers crossed).

Anyway, here’s the description copied over from dA:

Yep, it’s me. I’m back (or at least, as “back” as I can be). A LOT has happened since I last posted here, which I’ll have to go over in a journal entry, but here I am, with my first submission to my gallery in over FOUR YEARS. For the first time in forever, I was hit with a flurry of inspiration that I just HAD to capitalize on while it was still fresh.

So, to sum it up in one sentence: What starts off as an average day at the beach for .jpig (my obese pigsona) and his friends leads to a magic mishap of massive proportions when .jpig accepts an enchanted ice cream treat from Nucleus the unicorn (my ponysona). I got the idea to do something with .jpig (pronounced JAY-pig) late last month, so I tried to hammer it out in time for Hogust, but I didn’t make it. The theme of the story would’ve made it a good fit for Juicy July, but I missed that month too, so I made it my goal to get it out the gate before the end of summer (while it was still seasonal). Suffice it to say, I ended up packing (or should I say, unpacking) a lot into this story, but that’s what happens when you let your imagination run wild after a four-year hiatus.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this little trip of a story, because that might not be the end. I have a second part planned; I just have to work it out in my head and get it down on paper (or computer, in this case). Til then, catch ya on the flip side.

Oh, and to any vegetarians reading this: that jab at meat substitutes was a joke. Please don’t take it seriously.
