Tegenaria atrica, or as it's simply known, Big House Spider. An apt name, since it's A) Big. This thing had legs something two inches long. And B) often live in our homes. I found this one under a few rocks my mom had accumulated in her back yard.

These will actually kill or eat more toxic species of spiders found in houses, like brown recluse and black widow. They are friend spiders!
