Reference sheet for Kai! Charingo was a DELIGHT to work with in visualizing this lad out in reference form, and giving him an anthro form as well! One of my most successful reference commissions in terms of how visually clear, character accuracy, AND bonus informations are laid out. Heck yeah! Thank you incredibly matey, and for one of my most beloved characters, I appreciate it even doubly so!

Kai as an individual is most energetic. If Faen is an example of how "cold" or "ice" can reflect onto a character, being so calm and glacially cool and composed - Kai on the other hand is what I picture to be an example of both "fire" [gee, obviously] and "warmth". Most energetic, can flare up with excitement or boldness to stick that snout into too many pies. But also: He can die out a bit, be a bit more comfortable and calm especially if he gets tired. The lad has many night-time activities both as a quadruped Tobi in Monster Hunter universe, or as an anthro with his career in whatever Anthro world we want to imagine!

One thing I hope to communicate with further pieces of him is that aspect of 'warmth' is how especially comfortable he can be. Very familiar and friendly, a literal heat-blanket, and enjoys inquiring about things and people and all sorts! He's a special boyo.

Charingo infused this design with so many polished little features as well, the gradient of the mane running down shifting from deep red to a more bright orange for one! And the anatomy and proportions of both forms, the sheer emotion of the "ugh..." headshot at the top right and how relatable that is, so expressive. As well as curious lad!
