Querial is a character from a homebrew fantasy setting I created. She is an elf, possessing an immortal lifespan and a complete immunity to disease. She does not know how old she is, but has been traveling the world for centuries. Some thirty-five years ago, she encountered the wizard Gartrist the Pantologist (then a young man) in an outpost on the border of human and orcish kingdoms which was besieged by orcs, and the two became lovers. Thanks to Gartrist's leadership and Querial's archery training, the outpost managed to hold out until relief arrived. Afterward, the two stayed together for a time, but eventually went their separate ways.
Querial possesses extraordinary speed and agility. All her senses are more acute than those of humans, and she can sense the life force in other beings, determining their physical and emotional health. As an elf, she is immune to disease and aging, and can only die due to violence or accident. Having had centuries in which to perfect her craft, her skill in archery exceeds that of any mortal. She is also a skilled woodsman and herbalist, and is able to move with complete silence.
