Two new plush characters made from an original pattern! Both are actually the same pattern, just the ears are positioned differently, and the tails are made from different materials, (Matrices' is shortpile fake fur) but are the same shape.

Malameux (the blue malamute) was originally all-white Minky fabric but then hand colored to be the fur color and pattern of his character. (here is a shot of the "before" http://twitpic.com/5x1bxa )

Both characters have a sculpted nose, but I accidentally over-baked them as tiny as they are, so I had to paint them. Their teeny eyes are painted plastic and I decided to go with a directional look, so they can look at eachother or away from eachother, which really gives them a lot of character together!
The rest of the features like the smile and accents on the toes toes and the face shaping was done with needle-sculpting, a technique where thread is tied off and pulled through to manipulate the soft shape. Because sewing only does so much needle-sculpting helps enhance the shape to make it more unique and specific to the character.

Each character is about 3 inches! Not very big at all! :D
