Just to give a little bit of scale to show how large this fella was... that's the end of a 6" wide plank... the opposite corner is just off-camera. From his head to the tip of his tail he's probably close to 8-9 inches long. Can see his body-art a little better in this picture, too.

Most are really skittish but this fella almost lets me pet him. Insects fear to tread on my front porch.

They tend to go into hiding in the winter down here... But to be honest, if I wanted to catch him I don't think I'd need to move too quickly. I've pet him since I took this picture. He tolerated it. Barely.
