Ain't that the truth. It's why I never posted any comments on the VK Dinoask site, because I was worried that the Translation Bots wouldn't translate what I said right. Which might lead to a real misunderstanding. From seeing all the mistakes that the Translation Bots make in translating Russian into English I can only assume that the same problems exist when they attempt to translate English into Russian.
Yeah, I’ve often played with translating the Murk comic from its original Russian posting in order to compare it to what was posted in English. The main point I’ve come up with is, the Translation Bots mostly come up with the general idea of what’s said, but usually really misses the finer nuances of the language. But then sometimes the translations come out as totally strange. And I usually use at least two to three different Translation Bots to compare the differences.
Although I will say this, translating from Russian is nothing when compared to translating from Japanese. I used to try to do that several years ago when I fell in love with a particular Manga about a bunch of heroic dogs. And that was before I had access to translation bots. I had ended up buying a whole bunch of books on how to read Japanese. Which I never did really learn.

Oh, yes, Japanese is no less difficult than Russian.. But, you know, Chinese is also complicated. I was trying to translate the text of a manga from Chinese, and it was agony. I think, in general, Asian languages depend very much on the context, which is why it is difficult to use translators.
