I haven't fully fleshed out the story, but the idea was to keep it pretty basic. They attended the same high school and church, he thought she was pretty, tried to impress her by number of chairs he could carry at church events, and so on. He asked her out, they went to some diner, spent all day talking including how many kids they wanted, and stayed inseparable.
