Gnar
"Thought to be extinct, this titanic canine will grow its entire life and is capable of reaching the size of an adult grizzly bear. A Gnar is easily identifiable from other kinds of wolves by its dark coat, sharp features and notably slender tail. Their small population typically keeps to the wastelands of Hedrith but have been known to wander closer to civilization in the winter.
Capable of remembering features, these beasts are known for seeking revenge to any who would harm a member of their pack. Despite the danger, some seek out to own and raise Gnar cubs as their qualities make them excellent guards. However, poachers have told tales of gnar packs trailing them for generations. While feared, this creature has a long history as a heraldic symbol of vengeance, loyalty and cunning."
